SALUTE

Area 5 Detective Division Salutes 15th District Tactical Officers: Sgt. Mason, P.O. Troutman, P.O. Delcid, P.O.Mulkerrin, P.O. Edwards, P.O. Babich, P.O. Anderson, P.O. Kelly, P.O. Johnson, P.O. Marron.

In March of 2008 two separate shootings occurred in the area of Laramie and Ferdinand. The offender of both shootings was identified by the victims as being a four corner hustler street gang member.

On 25 March 2008, the officers used their informants to obtain information in regard to the wanted aggravated battery offender. The offender shot three victims, seriously wounding them.

The officers were able to locate the offender and place him in custody at which time he was charged with three counts of Aggravated Battery/Firearm to a Person.

Three other offenders, all four corner hustler street gang members, were subsequently arrested and charged for their roles in the shootings. Due to their extensive knowledge of gang members and their dedication to duty, these violent offenders were arrested and taken off the streets of Chicago.

SALUTE

Special Investigations Unit Salutes 19th District Police Officers: P.O.'s    R. Mosquedo, and A. Calderon. 

On 31 Mar. 08, the officers responded to a call where a young victim had been sexually assaulted several times by her mothers boyfriend. The officers placed the offender into custody. Subsequently the offender gave an oral admission and handwritten statement. The offender was charged with Criminal Sexual Assault. Due to the officers dedication to duty, a child molester was taken off the streets.
